Meet Marilyn
I started my journey as an accountant working for Kenneth R. McTavish, Kenneth R. McTavish Prof. Corp., Public Practice January 1, 1999. Initially my position was an accounting technician, personal income tax preparation and office manager. As a requirement to advance my position, I completed the Advanced Certificate of Accounting Program with the Chartered Professional Accounts Association of British Columbia.
This program covered the 2 years of articling for the Chartered Professional Accounts of Alberta and was mentored by the CPA Kenneth R. McTavish. Annual Professional Development was mandatory in order to be proficient in tax preparation, financial statements, corporate income tax and additional accounting functions.
Over the years my role became more extensive and entailed all aspects of a Public Practice and Office Administration. As a result, I started my own company M. I. ProAccounting Ltd. and subcontracted to Kenneth R. McTavish Prof. Corp. through M. I. ProAccounting Ltd. In 2004. The experience and knowledge obtained through the firm enabled me to provide all the services required by an accounting practice. I have been
providing professional accounting services for 23 years.
Kenneth R. McTavish retired in January of 2022 and the practice was taken over by M. I. ProAccounting Ltd.
I have maintained a professional relationship with each and every client over the past 23 years and continue to do so. I provide services tailor made for each client to fit their needs and requirements.
